It’s all about good music

The love for House music started in the so called Sneakerz era. For many dutchies a well know complilation cd with off course Dutch House music. Before this interest in House music Levy Strouse listened a lot of classic hip-hop. He even started writing verses and producing Hip-hop with FL-studio 3.0. However due to the lack of skill he didn’t follow it true. At an much younger age he had his first experience with vinyl. His parents got him a Sesame street audiobook to play on his old stereo with vinyl deck on top. Off-course he could resist scratching the record and thereby damaging the needle. When he asked for a new radio for his birthday his parents got him one without vinyl deck and EQ-faders. He literally cried.

At the age of 16 the itches of making music, twisting knobs and sliding faders started to rise again. Form his 13the to 16the he sneaked into clubs and would watch what the DJ’s where doing. When he finally saved up enough money to buy a pioneer mixer and cd-players disaster struck. Levy fell in love and off course abandoned his whole idea of getting into DJ'ing. That romance lasted for 4 years and the first thing he got after the break up was a pioneer DJ set. Since then he spend more time producing music, making mixes and crate digging tracks.

His first real bookings where at a local bar called Club Jitters. They owners enjoyed the performance and levy landed a residency on fridays. It was here when he first had to encounter "The Crowd" and learning how to entertain them. Via his mixtape cd's he got into contact with “ Creations” .This organization of the well visited parties gave him the opportunity to play their 2e Area's and even their Main-stage. These bookings meant a lot to levy because they enabled hem to expand his audience. Playing crowds up to 900 people.

While he played at clubs Levy Strouse was also perfecting his producing skills. As Marco V was an inspiration of levy he decided to do a bootleg of his infamous track Simulated. After working for a couple of months on the track with buddy DJ Frenckel he sent the track initially to Marco V. He replied that it was an absolute banger. So being motivated from that message levy send the track to another inspiring artist namely Hardwell. In the same week Hardwell and Dannic hosted "Hardwell on air" #129 and the track was the Demo of the week.

Nowadays as a college drop-out he is even more focused on making great music. Although it seems quiet on the musical side Levy is putting out music. However he feels that its more important to focus on quality tracks then just putting up another poor record. In the near future there are a couple of releases and collaborations coming out with dutch Future House rising star Asino. Keep an eye out on their soundclouds.  Want to be updated?  Follow Levy Strouse on his social channels.
